About the Windsor High Security Mailbox System The Windsor Locking Mailbox is the solution for mail and small parcel security in residential, commercial and municipal applications. Its patented hopper door allows for delivery of mail bundles and small parcels commonly used for shipping catalog or online orders. The drop box version provides the same solution for commercial and municipal applications, such as key drops or payment drops. All Windsor mailboxes are equipped with an extra large patented hopper style access door to accommodate bundled deliveries, large prescription drug bottles and small parcels. Features of the Windsor Mailbox Delivery and access doors fitted with rubber seals to keep contents clean and dry. Weldless assembly allowing parts to be completely powder coated prior to assembly for enhanced corrosion resistance Durable stainless steel hinges on both doors Outgoing mail clip discretely located behind delivery door 16 and 14 gage galvanized steel construction Decorative door detail Durable Powder coat for a long lasting finish Constructed using studs and welds for extra durability Suitable for installation into a pilaster, column or wall Approved by the US Postmaster General Windsor Mailbox Options *Custom Mailbox Front Address Lettering* You can create a custom mailbox with custom type that is available for all Windsor Mailboxes. Premium German-made Vinyl lettering is used and rated to last at least seven years. 6 Text Color Choices are available; please click for color chart of text colors >>>. The standard font is Times New Roman Italic. Custom colors, fonts and even artwork can be created using an advanced computer based lettering system (please contact for detail). The maximum character length is 6 characters including spaces and are shipped separate from the mailbox. USPS approval covers every letterbox or receptacle intended for the delivery of postage paid mail on any mail route. From the point of the manufacturer, this includes flag size, mailbox size, strength, and quality of construction. Generally, all mailbox interiors and door access are regulated to receive expected mail sizes. Residential curbside or rural mailboxes and post packages also must accommodate an installation height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of the mailbox or point of mail entry (locked designs). A separate set of regulations is provided for all Commercial Mailboxes.
