Whitehall Estate Mailboxes: About the Metals Used
The Whitehall Curbside Mailbox, Post and decorative brackets are all crafted of recycled die cast rust free aluminum. Cast aluminum is an extremely durable, yet light-weight metal, that is 100% resistant to rust. It is made by pouring hot aluminum into a mold of the end product. During construction, the aluminum undergoes substantial amounts of pressure, which produces an extremely dense material that will stand up to years of wear and tear (includes manufacturers limited lifetime warranty).
Whitehall Estate Mailboxes : About the Finish
The Whitehall Curbside Mailbox and Post are finished in a highly protective powder coat finish. Powder coating is well known for its uniform, durable, and high quality finish. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes, and colors stay bright and vibrant longer. The mailbox is available in three finishes, including Bronze (most popular), Black, and White (includes manufacturers limited lifetime warranty).
Whitehall Estate Mailboxes: About the Personalized Plaques
You can customize your new Whitehall Mailbox with Personalized Plaques, which are included. The personalized plaque will make it easier, for friends, family and emergency services to find your home. Each Whitehall Estate Mailbox package includes 2 side plaques and 1 Door Plaque. The side plaques can hold one or two lines of Gold text. If one line is selected, each side plaque can hold five - 4.5" Numbers (or smaller if desired). If two lines of text are selected, each side plaque can hold a top line of 3" Numbers (or smaller), and a bottom row of sixteen 1.25" Characters. The Door Plaque can hold one line of six - 1.75" Characters.
Whitehall Estate Mailboxes: About the Mailbox Size
The Whitehall Estate Curbside Mailbox is considered an estate sized mailbox and is designed for todays increased amount of mail. The front door swings open from a magnetic catch inside the mailbox to reveal a generous sized incoming mail compartment. The mailbox dimensions are 9.6"W x 13"H x 20.375"D, which is large enough to hold multiple days worth of mail, magazines, and catalogs, and larger than the typical mailbox.
Whitehall Estate Mailboxes: About the Post
Most Mailbox Posts today are installed over a 4" x 4" post, the Whitehall Post Mount Mailboxes are no exception. Installation requires a 4" x 4" x 48" post to be buried 30" in the ground, and to have 18" sticking out. This post then slips over that post and attaches via hardware which is included. This makes for a much easier installation, especially if you already have an existing 4" x 4" in the ground. In addition, this will put the mailbox at the correct height, according to USPS Postal Regulations.
