About the Chalet Classic Posts These strong posts are long enough to cement into the ground and provide a stable mount for the Whitehall Chalet Mailboxes. The Classic post is a top mount post with a skirt and mounting plate made of extruded aluminum. Once the post is in place the skirt simply slips over the post and the mailbox mounting plate attached to the top. Aluminum is ideal for mailbox posts because it is a rust and maintenance free material. About the Finishes The Whitehall Chalet Post has a high quality powder coat finish, well known for its uniformity, durability, and protective nature. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes, and colors stay bright and vibrant longer. The post is available in four colors, including Bronze, Black, Green and White. About the Features: Post is long enough to be cemented in-ground Cast aluminum skirt – provides style and rust free durability. From the point of the manufacturer, this includes flag size, mailbox size, strength, and quality of construction. Generally, all mailbox interiors and door access are regulated to receive expected mail sizes. Residential curbside or rural mailboxes and post packages also must accommodate an installation height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of the mailbox or point of mail entry (locked designs). A separate set of regulations is provided for all Commercial Mailboxes.
