About the Vario™ Mail Shelter Kits

A more architecturally pleasing design for centralized delivery – the Vario™ Mail Shelter Kits allow design and building professionals flexibility while the 4C mailbox installation meets the U.S. Postal Service's preferred method of mail delivery for new developments. By adding your own roof and siding materials, you have the opportunity to personalize the final product for full integration within the neighborhood and surrounding architecture.

This 76 mailbox, 8 parcel locker shelter kit is a back to back configuration. Both sides of the shelter house the mailboxes and parcels for tenant access. Front-loading Auth Florence 4C units are included in this preconfigured package along with appropriately sized protective mailbox casings. The package includes everything but the concrete pad and exterior finishing. The Vario™ is a pre-engineered shelter, so it will probably not require a building permit but be sure to check your local building codes.

About the Vario™ Mail Shelter Materials
Designed as a gabled roof, the roof sections are welded aluminum along with the mailbox casings and pre-drilled vertical/horizontal supports. The interior end panels are pressure preserved plywood sheathing. All necessary hardware is included as well as stainless steel fasteners, an Hilti anchor system with epoxy and application gun. No more rough opening to calculate, only the finishing plywood for the roof and exterior and the cement pad are the responsibility of the builder.

About the 4C Mailboxes
The 4Cs are constructed of heavy gauge aluminum and 300 series stainless steel components for superior strength, corrosion resistance and exceptional outdoor durability. The master loading doors are designed with interlocking overlap seams to prevent prying and a quick release master loading door lock latch for easy access by Postal carriers. The solid aluminum mail slot frame protects adjacent compartments while the unique double-locking parcel locking mechanism design (patent pending) adds mail package security.

About the Finishes
Choose the 4C mailbox in the same powder coat finish as your shelter kit, or in a contrasting color of your choice. The rugged, corrosion and weather resistant powdercoat finishes resist scratching and vandalism. The finishes available are Black, Dark Bronze, Sandstone, Forest Green, White, Silver Speck, or Postal Grey. The inside panels have three color choices, Tan, Black or Grey and are partially hidden by 4C mailboxes.

About the Options

Wind Rating
Some geographic areas have local building codes requiring higher levels of wind resistance. The Vario™ is built to meet 2006 International Builders Code (IBC) standards, withstanding a three-second gust of either 90 mph (Standard) or an optional 150 mph wind resistance (Hurricane). Please note that the Hurricane package will add an additional weight to the package.

LED Light Kits
Enhance your mail shelter with two different lighting options that suits your installation location. The designed for integration into the shelter roof design and activated by motion detectors. The Solar Light Kit contains a solar panel, battery, motion sensor, LED strips and fasteners. The A/C Compatible LED Light Kit includes the wiring harness, motion sensor, LED strips and fasteners. The strips snap into the inside roof extrusions for easy installation and include a protective lens cover.
