USPS Standard Cluster Box Mailboxes Made of heavy duty aluminum, these U.S.P.S. approved pedestal cluster box units are accessed from the front through easy opening master door panels. The aluminum CBU incoming mailbox doors includes a 1”H number and a heavy duty five (5) pin cylinder cam lock with a dust/rain shield and three (3) keys. One additional compartment in each unit is identified as an "Outgoing Mail" receptacle and includes a weather protection flap. Each CBU includes at least one (1) parcel locker which offers tenants a convenient way to receive packages on site. The durable and corrosion resistant units feature a durable powder coated finish in 6 different colors. Please order pedestals separately. USPS approval covers every letterbox or receptacle intended for the delivery of postage paid mail on any mail route. From the point of the manufacturer, this includes flag size, mailbox size, strength, and quality of construction. Generally, all mailbox interiors and door access are regulated to receive expected mail sizes. Residential curbside or rural mailboxes and post packages also must accommodate an installation height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of the mailbox or point of mail entry (locked designs). A separate set of regulations is provided for all Commercial Mailboxes.

Product Review

Looks good on my house. Product quality was very good. However it is not user friendly for the USPS mail carrier. The mail carrier has only one free hand available to get the mail into the mailbox. This mail box door, in most cases, requires two hands to operate. The mail cannot easily be put in the mailbox due to the lip design of the door. The spring loaded door adds to the difficulty of getting mail into this mailbox. This mailbox is not user friendly for the mail carrier.
