About the Salsbury Antique Rural Mailboxes
Made entirely of aluminum, Salsbury U.S.P.S. approved 4800 series antique rural mailboxes feature a 1/8ö thick extruded aluminum body with a 1/8ö thick die cast aluminum front door and rear cover. Antique rural mailboxes also feature a durable textured powder coated finish available in four (4) attractive colors and include an adjustable burgundy signal flag and a magnetic door catch. The die cast door is attached to the body with a full-width stainless steel hinge allowing for smooth operation. These mailboxes provide an antique look that adds elegance to any home. Antique rural mailboxes can be mounted on standard, classic, decorative or deluxe mailbox posts (see related items) or a base of your choice. Multiple antique rural mailboxes may be mounted on classic 2-sided posts (#4892), deluxe 2-sided posts for two mailboxes (#4872), deluxe 2-sided posts for four mailboxes (#4874) or on standard posts using optional spreaders (related items #4882, #4883 and #4884). Antique rural mailboxes are approved for U.S.P.S. curbside mail delivery.

Made of heavy duty aluminum, antique newspaper holders (#4815A) are a unique option for antique rural mailboxes. Each unit has a solid back and includes mounting hardware to easily attach to mailbox posts and spreaders. Antique newspaper holders feature a durable powder coated finish available in four (4) attractive powder coated finishes.
