About the Materials Used
The construction of these beautiful doormats starts with an extremely durable material called vulcanized rubber that is often used for outdoor products. It is non-slip and will not scratch your entryway flooring. The center plaques are made from solid, sand cast and powder coated aluminum. Aluminum is a lightweight, totally rust free, and recyclable. Aluminum’s rust resistance is excellent due to a thin surface layer of aluminum oxide that forms when the metal is exposed to air, effectively preventing oxidation.

About the Powdercoat Finish
Powder coating is a type of dry coating, which is applied as a dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent (like water or oil) to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is applied electro-statically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." The powder creates a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.

The personalized plaque is replaceable, should you decide you want to change the text in the future, or have more than one text plate.
