The Mail Chest Locking Mailbox This U.S.P.S. approved Mail Chest features both a front and rear access locking door. Each unit includes an outgoing mail tray, a lock with two keys on each door and an adjustable red signal flag. Made entirely of aluminum and covered in a powder coated finish, these mailboxes are built to last. They are available in four standard colors and can be mounted with the optional bolt-mounted post or in-ground post. About the Design The versatile design of the Mail Chest allows it to be mounted onto a post or into a column or wall. The mail is deposited through a non-locking access panel on the front and can be accessed with the front or rear locking door. The mailboxes are designed with an outgoing mail tray and come complete with an adjustable flag. They are also ideal for multi-unit applications. Two box and three box spreaders are available as an option. About the Materials All Mail Chests are made entirely from rust proof cast aluminum, resulting in a sturdy, weather resistant product. The maintenance free, powder coated finish is applied, giving it a chip-proof, fade-resistant color. About the Features Includes a front and rear access locking door U.S.P.S. USPS approval covers every letterbox or receptacle intended for the delivery of postage paid mail on any mail route. From the point of the manufacturer, this includes flag size, mailbox size, strength, and quality of construction. Generally, all mailbox interiors and door access are regulated to receive expected mail sizes. Residential curbside or rural mailboxes and post packages also must accommodate an installation height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of the mailbox or point of mail entry (locked designs). A separate set of regulations is provided for all Commercial Mailboxes.

This mailbox was easily installed, looks great and seems to be made of a very durable material. The finish is nice and since mine is under a porch roof, I probably won't install the security panel. I'm very glad I made the decision to go with this mailbox for my newly renovated porch.
