About the Litchfield Designer Eagle Rural Mailbox Packages Our Litchfield Rural packages promise a world of choices and color combinations. From a single mount to a quad, simple or decorative, The Litchfield Rural Mailbox Packages are a perfect heavy duty, long-lasting mail delivery solution. About the Mailbox Construction Made entirely of aluminum, these U.S.P.S. approved Rural mailboxes feature a 1/8” thick extruded aluminum body with a 1/8” thick die cast aluminum front door and rear cover. The die cast door is attached to the body with a full-width stainless steel hinge allowing for smooth operation. An adjustable signal flag and a magnetic door catch are standard on all models. About the Mailbox Finishes and Face Plates The Rural mailbox packages also feature a durable textured powder coated finish. The Eagle Rural Mailbox is available in four (4) attractive colors and a 1/4'' thick decorative eagle plate, handle and signal flag available in a gold or silver powder coated finish. You may also choose to replace the eagle door and flag with a Heavy Duty matching mailbox door and red flag. These mailboxes provide a decorative look that adds elegance to any home in the following finish combinations: Black/Gold Black/Silver White/Gold (shown) White/Silver Bronze/Gold Bronze/Silver Pewter/Gold Pewter/Silver About the Designer Posts and Finishes The aluminum in-ground, 1-sided Designer mailbox post includes a 3” W x 15” D arm. These posts also feature a durable powder coated finish and require minor assembly. They can be mixed or matched with your mailbox in the following colors: Black Green Beige White (shown) Bronze About the Optional Newspaper Holders Made of heavy duty aluminum, newspaper holders are a unique option for rural mailboxes. Each unit has a solid back and includes mounting hardware to easily attach to mailbox posts and spreaders. The newspaper holders feature a durable powder coated finish available to match your mailbox. About the Optional Personalization Personalize your mailbox with custom numbers and letters. Our 2”H characters allow for 1-2 lines of up to 10 character/spaces. The 1.5”H allows for 1-3 lines of up to 14 character/spaces. For one or both sides, a vinyl adhesive sheet is prepared to your exact specifications and easy to apply. Available in black, gold, white and reflective to match any color combination of your mailbox package. USPS approval covers every letterbox or receptacle intended for the delivery of postage paid mail on any mail route. From the point of the manufacturer, this includes flag size, mailbox size, strength, and quality of construction. Generally, all mailbox interiors and door access are regulated to receive expected mail sizes. Residential curbside or rural mailboxes and post packages also must accommodate an installation height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of the mailbox or point of mail entry (locked designs). A separate set of regulations is provided for all Commercial Mailboxes.
