Knobloch Prestige Mailbox Collection Now available in the United States, the Knobloch Mailbox has been a staple item in contemporary homes throughout Europe for years. These mailboxes are designed and manufactured in Germany with high quality construction specifications and unique design characteristics that set German engineered products apart from others. The Prestige Mailbox Collection is designed for discriminating customers. The products are constructed from the finest materials, and feature design characteristics not found in the other mailbox lines. The LA Mailbox has been nominated for the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Prestige Mailbox Collection: About the Size The LA Mailbox Model features a 15.5"H x 16"W x 4.4"D size. This estate size will allow for multiple days worth of mail to be collected. Mail is inserted through the top of the mailbox, which features a 13"W x 1.3"D mail slot. Please note that the hydraulically muffled flap closes behind the mail. The Prestige Mailbox Collection: About the Locking Mechanism The Prestige Mailbox Collection features a lock on every mailbox. The lock is located on the front of the mailbox. Each lock is constructed of high quality stainless steel, and includes two keys. When the lock is opened, the front door of the mailbox swings from the top of the mailbox, to the bottom for easy access to your mail. The Prestige Mailbox Collection: About the Materials Used The LA Mailbox Model is constructed of 2 mm thick Stainless Steel. Stainless steel is widely used in exterior applications. The material is extremely resistant to corrosion, and provides great strength in both warm and cold climates. In addition, 2 mm of thickness provides for superior resistance to external shocks.

USPS approval covers every letterbox or receptacle intended for the delivery of postage paid mail on any mail route. From the point of the manufacturer, this includes flag size, mailbox size, strength, and quality of construction. Generally, all mailbox interiors and door access are regulated to receive expected mail sizes. Residential curbside or rural mailboxes and post packages also must accommodate an installation height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of the mailbox or point of mail entry (locked designs). A separate set of regulations is provided for all Commercial Mailboxes.
