The Hummingbird Post Mount Mailbox The Hummingbird mailbox features deeply embossed designs on all sides. Produced from rust proof cast aluminum, it is thicker and more durable than a sheet metal mailbox. It is available in fourteen different colors and finishes to match any style. Furthermore, the mailbox is approved for use by the U.S. Postal Service. About the Design The Hummingbird mailboxes are designed to be mounted onto a post for curbside mail delivery. The magnetic catch will keep the door secure and the rust proof cast aluminum body creates a weather resistant mailbox. We also offers an optional lock kit that fits snugly into the mailbox for increased security. About the Materials All Hummingbird mailboxes are made from rust proof cast aluminum, resulting in a sturdy, weather resistant product. Each door is produced as one piece and includes a cast aluminum handle. The maintenance free, powder coated finish is applied to each mailbox by hand, adding to the noticeable quality and giving it a chip-proof, fade-resistant color. From the point of the manufacturer, this includes flag size, mailbox size, strength, and quality of construction. Generally, all mailbox interiors and door access are regulated to receive expected mail sizes. Residential curbside or rural mailboxes and post packages also must accommodate an installation height of 41-45 in. from the road surface to inside floor of the mailbox or point of mail entry (locked designs). A separate set of regulations is provided for all Commercial Mailboxes.

Product Review

All metal & glass. Could be a little more sturdy though. This comes in 3 sections that just set on top of one another onto slots. It is fairly secure, but would prefer some type of fastener to fit these together even better. This is something you can do yourself though with a drill from underneath & still keep the fasteners hidden. The glass also just sets into slots in the frame. If you have a loud stereo these will rattle something fierce. I bought some adhesive backed felt & trimmed to size which I then lined the slots with. Problem fixed. There is also no handle on the doors, but I drilled a hole & attached a store bought handle myself aswell. The terrarium has good ventilation from slats in the middle of the frame & two holes on top. This comes shipped frieght on a pallet with 4 boxes & is well packaged. Overall I think this is a very nice terrarium.
