It is made by pouring aluminum into a mold of the end product. During construction, the aluminum undergoes substantial amounts of pressure, which produces an extremely dense material that will stand up to years of wear and tear.

These black lockboxes are constructed from cast aluminum using the same technique as the powder-coat finish used on the outside of the mailbox. The lockable insert can also be added to any new or existing Gaines Wall Mount Mailbox. Two coded lockbox keys are included. The manufacturer can easily replaced the keys if lost. If ordered with the mailbox, the lockbox comes preinstalled.
